Our Easter Celebration Tree - A New Family Tradition

We made suger eggs and chicks...I just love Easter, such a fun time to enjoy cute crafts.

Take one cup of sugar and add 1 tsp water colored with food colors.  We added ten drops of the color to a cup of water.

Mix the sugar and water buy hand - it should hold its form when squeezed together -- not too dry and not to wet!

Pack into the mold of your choice. Scrape the excess off and plop - literally PLOP the mold out onto a cookie sheet. Allow about three hours for it to dry.

We glued ribbon to the back of the chicks, placed the eggs at the base of our vase to help hold the dogwood branches we had gathered while the chicks were drying and then decorated the "Easter" tree.
